The Latin-Rock explosion began, when Santana first burst onto the music scene in the late sixties and early Seventies. While Latin Alternative music was becoming popular in the West Coast, group of talented musicians from the Bronx in New York City wanted to build upon and fuse the Caribbean roots of Afro Cuban Jazz, Rhythm and Blues and New York City Salsa. The group is called Seguida. Created by Randy Ortiz and now lead by Steve Adorno, Fania/Onroda MusicWorks Recording Artist Seguida's music is a unique mix of funk, hip hop, rock, r&b, salsa and jazz.
